Every person has one of three:

  1. The drive for pleasure – and love – and recognition
  2. The drive for safety (fear – and when it’s perpetual, panic)
the drive for fairness (usually not from goodness, rather our ego doesn’t like others receiving more (if we feel equally entitled) the drive to destroy (when anger is roused – this is also toward self- meaning the ego turning on the person (aka where depression comes from)
  3. The drive to truth – compassion
