The Coming of Moshiach
I see the coming of Moshiach not only as a future event, but as the completion of a process already unfolding.
The Rebbe taught that the world is moving toward a time when G-dliness will be openly recognized, war and hatred will give way to peace, and humanity will understand its shared purpose. Moshiach means that truth will no longer be hidden. The physical world will not disappear; rather, it will reveal the Divine meaning within it.
On a personal level, preparing for Moshiach means living now in a way that reflects that future:
bringing more light than darkness
replacing hatred with love
increasing Torah and mitzvos
helping people materially and spiritually
believing that the world can truly be transformed
seeing every person as carrying a Divine mission
The Rebbe emphasized that we should not relate to Moshiach only as a distant hope. We should learn about redemption, speak about it, pray for it, and live with urgency and confidence that one more good deed can help tip the world toward redemption.
In essence, the coming of Moshiach is when the deepest truth becomes visible: that G-d is One, creation has purpose, goodness is real, and every act of holiness has been building toward a redeemed world.
