People don’t even realize how what they think they’re thinking is actually imitating. Nobody woke up one day and decided that terrorists are in the right, that it is normal to call gay a marriage. This was generations of brainwashing by bad actors. And then, before you know it, people think that they’re actually thinking. The largest Pew poll shows that, unfortunately, after Obama, 27% of America effectively became his cult members, whatever he said is what they think is true. And to be fair, there are 6% that have become Trump cult members. But in any event, the main point is that 99% of the world isn’t actually thinking, their following the zeitgeist, which is the spirit of the culture they’re in, because the need to be part of the group and the fear of being rejected by the group is what causes their desire, hence opinions. For unless your wish is to know the truth and you have the moral and freedom framework in which to explore that, all we’re really doing, even though we don’t realize it, is copying. It cannot be that, say, 1.8 billion Muslims, versus at least the same number of Christians, have the truth – for the two religions say different things. How can it be that close to two billion people believe the same story? And the answer, of course, is that’s how they were educated. And the reason I say all of this is to therefore conclude that “The truth comes only to those who seek it independently.” (And to be fair, the conservatives, based on a Pew poll, are mainly independents.)”
