Zeh Hayom Day 2 Rosh Hashana 5741

On Rosh Hashanah we draw down the level of Zeh – we crown God as King over all His creations.

To the extent that all know.

All know that God is their source.

The Godliness that we draw down on Rosh Hashanah is to the point, where at it you can point.

There is a well-known question that all the Rebbes, The Alter Rebbe, The Mitteleh Rebbe, The Tzemach Tzeddek, The Rebbe Maharash, The Rebbe Rashab, The Previous  Rebbe ask: as Rosh Hashanah is the day of the creation of man, why do we say it is the day of creation (which began five days before) and the answer is, for through man’s effort, we manifest a visible Godliness (which was invisible prior.)

Everything that was created in the first day (in which all existed at least in-potentia) was, so subsequently through man’s Avodah (service) we would reveal God.

The Jewish people specifically are capable of drawing down and receiving the infinity of God.

Because the source of the Jewish soul is in the essence of God, therefore the Jew can draw down God’s essence.

As each person is a microcosm of the macro (universe) when we draw down and reveal God within ourselves, we do so for the universe.

Through learning Torah (which is mainly connected to our soul) and doing Mitzvos, which is mainly connected to our body, we draw down God’s essence.

The ultimate goal is that down below man and God become one.  

Through the Jewish people doing physical Mitzvos, we caused that God and His physical world also become one.
