THE GOAL
The goal is to bring down God,
LIES/TRUTH
Once we are repulsed by lies, we can be passionate (for truth.)
HUMILITY VS. SHAME
The difference between humility and shame – in the former I feel that everything I am comes from another.
LOVE
By contemplating how the greatest angels serve God; the mightiest nations God abandons (such as the Egyptians) and instead God focuses on you – this creates a reciprocity.
GOD’S HOME
The great destiny – not only does this world not contradict God, but houses.
INNER VS OUTER
We have an inner and outer will (the inner being our soul – the desire for truth, for God, for loving-kindness) the outer ( the desire for recognition (anger when perceived demeaned ( lust etc. – by understanding we are in essence the inner (this is our eternal self – the other motivates fantasies at best) we not only reveal our soul, but take pleasure (in the subsequent good deeds.)
DESIRING WISDOM
Only through truly desiring to understand does (one.)
INNER AND OUTER TORAH
There is an inner and outer Torah; the latter is limited (for example, one can learn all of it) the former, infinite (this is like the difference between a song and melody, the former is defined by its words, while the latter is an everlasting source.)
GOD’S MEMORY
God never forgets (forgetting is related to anxiety and distraction.)
