What is the essence of Matan Torah -namely Judaism?

What the Torah accomplished was the directives how a person on earth can elevate themselves and the entire world, through fulfilling God’s directives.

In order to achieve this, the Torah was given in a manner that directly relates to the human in all of his or her aspects.

Now as both creation as a whole and and a whole individual, are comprised of three, hence so to the Torah.

The idea:

The behavior of a healthy and intelligent person is based on three elements-  thinking, speaking and doing.

Firstly one must think;

Then one discusses his idea/s;  discussing it with good friends in that field whom can help further refine and clarify.

Finally one creates a conclusion which one implements.

These three steps are the absolute foundation of a healthy intelligent person (in fact the word Adam (man) is comprised of the three Hebrew letters Alef-representing thought, Daled- representing speech, and Mem- representing action).

( Note:a child prior to intelligence begins life in the reverse order – first action, then app. at two speech, which itself isn’t fully developed until the intellect does.)

A whole ( wholesome)  person does not stop at thinking and even speaking, but brings his thoughts to action.

Actually in our universe called the world of action it is precisely action that is the goal and in fact it is the original intent as is obvious.

However though action is the original intent particularly thought-through action, action based on not only an idea but researched through experts in this field hence contributing to the certainty and clarity of the goal is worthwhile.

However before one implements the plan one must relook at the entire idea – for the world of conceptual reality and the world of actual are often very different.

Specifically these three steps in the order and mechanism mentioned create a healthy person and hence world.

Just as these three elements make up man so to the universe.

Furthermore the universe is the “macro-man” created of course for the micro.

Now the reason for this is that as the macro mirrors the micro, hence when man fixes his micro, this fixes the macro.

The supernal worlds are split into three: Beriah, the world of Divine contemplation, Yetzirah, the world of Divine prayer and Asiyah the world of Divine action.

Each world itself has these three levels as is known the Ten Sefiros divide into intellectual emotions and application.

Even man’s body is three, the head ( intellect) torso ( which constains the heart) and legs  pure action.

Also we have bones, sinew, flesh.

Furthermore the nature of all universes ( spiritual and physical is divided into three) space, time, soul ( creations.)

Furthermore the fabric of matter is made from three air, fire, water ( as earth is really a combination of the previous.)

Furthermore there are three consonants that form the source of all Hebrew words.

Thus just as in man the ultimate purpose is intelligent action, similarly the ultimate purpose is intelligent action; similarly, the ultimate purpose of the spiritual universes is this physical, however as this physical is aware of its relatively debased, hence, needing higher wisdom.

And for this reason the soul descends from her lofty hieghts in the spiritual realm to manifest the ultimate intent of rectifying and elevating everything by using one’s own thoughts,  speach and action in the service of God – Torah  Teffilah and Mitzvos.

Now this is the connection of Torah to three for it was Matan Torah that enabled the Jewish people to transform themselves and by osmosis the universe into a Divine realm.

At the giving of the Torah we received the 613 Mitzvos which enable us to transom our otherwise mundane life into a good one.

This is why the Torah was given below as the goal is our rectification.

Furthermore the Mitzvos relate to our experience.

Seeing that in essence out souls  are from above to refine the below, thus first and foremost a Jew must set this as his raison detre – purpose of being.

Our goal is to use the physical purely for God’s intent.

Similarly every morning upon awakening we must remind ourselves and only then get onto the details.

Our ability to manifest our thoughts into actions comes, as this is how God operates.

God made the world in such  way that initially it seems separate in order for us to unify.
