one – the drive to fulfill the dictates of the mind
two – the drive to fulfill the dictates of the heart
now this is a multi-faceted reality but all the dictates of the heart fundamentally will subdivide into two
a. the drive for something one considers emotionally beneficial
b. the desire from something one considers emotionally painful
Then we have our ego which also subdivides into two
a. the drive for recognition
b. the desire to demean and annihilate based on anger – now this is a highly complex emotion, for all other emotions we will admit that we have, but we will never admit that we are evil – do you know anyone who calls themselves evil? even hitler and isis believes/d that he was good, and merely getting rid of evil; but the hard and fast rule is this: good is only helpful, kind and generous – and any all desires which involve the demeaning and annihilation of another (unless it comes from a justice system in reacting to the evil another has done, but wherever there is a case like hitler or isis calling on the destruction of people who have not done a proportional harm, hence cannot be justified even as vengeance ) the only true motive is simply anger – but the question is, how can my mere existence anger someone – the answer is as follows – the ego has two directions, the first is as mentioned recognition, however when a person feels shame then they believe that they are justified in shaming or destroying another – this creates delusions of why this is justified: blood libels, “palastinian lands” (never was there an Arab palastinian state) etc. etc.
