0 responses to “If we understand this, well we have been redeemed; as game theory teaches, societies begin with the notion, as the world did (as our sages teach, the first two thousand years were called chaos, as the Bible tells us, people simply abused power) that life is a battle – resources are scare – “whoever steals the most by any means is the winner” (much of Africa and the middle east (not Israel) are still like this) Then there is societal advancement – this is when a central government create law and order – depending on how strong the government is, and how long people grow up under that society (for subconscious personal changes take often centuries) a new type of society is born, in which people expect there to be justice and are abhorred by injustice (this is why there is such a clash of civilizations today; for some people believe that raping, killing, stealing is justified (as this is how their society always has functioned, and values are integrated as subconscious perceptions of the behavior of the role-model, namely those older than the child) while others see it as abhorrent) But ultimately redemption is when one is not simply a civilized barbarian, in other words: I seek to get exactly what the barbarian gets, money, fame etc. just in a civilized way; rather, one rejects stupidity, for the sake of goodness and kindness”
