Well the truth is, life is extraordinarily simple
Basically first and foremost we can either be selfish or good
Now 90% (at least) of what we do is simply biological – even our aspirations be it money or fame is also (these are simply egotistical drives – the desire for both is based on the human desire for recognition.)
So when we are willing to let go of our biological instincts, then and only then are we capable of thinking truthfully.
Now the truth is, that the second option we have is a meaningful life, which is obviously a life based on goodness and kindness.
But how do we overcome our biological instincts – how do we become selfless?
Do we give up eating? going to work? etc.
The answer to this is, everything is meaningful if it leads to something meaningful; if my work is for my charity, my work is a conscious choice to do something meaningful.
Hence only by putting at the epicenter of our lives, typing into our internal GPS “I am here to serve the wishes of my Creator! (namely goodness and kindness) then and only then, can my life overcome my selfish, and enter a meaningful, stage.
