Do you know you are conflicted

It’s o.k. we all are

Every single philosophical spiritual psychological work that I have read agrees on one thing, we are conflicted.

There are different names to this conflict – some called it body and mind.

Yes certainly we love chocolate cake and ice cream even though our brain says it’s not such a great idea.

But there are those conflicts that are so strong that we deny they even exist.

This is our relationship with our own evil.

Yes every human being as the verse states “there is no righteous person in this world that does only good and never evil.”

You see the Jewish mystics teach (confirmed by Jung) that a. though intrinsically we are God/ly hence compassionate (as neurosurgeons who study this report, that children by nature are compassionate) yet simultaneously b. we have an ego – the ego is the source of lust and anger – for when I expect a. and b. happens, this angers me (for example, if you go into a store and they don’t give you a chocolate, this doesn’t bother you, but if you go into a store and they give everyone BUT you a chocolate you may call your lawyer.)

But here is the thing, as it is something you expect, therefore you expect it – in simple words, because you think it is your right, you think you are right – it is this delusional expectation that justifies all.
