Once upon a time, Sally and Susan were born
Now Sally’s parents were good Christians / Jews etc.
In Sally’s world, people submit to ideals – now Sally began to question the basic tenets of her religion, she ended up leaving one and joining another; but fundamentally she never changed – as the story, they asked a new Rebbe, why he didn’t behave like his father – “I do” he replied “my father did what he thought was right, and I do too.”
Now Susan was brought up in a low self-esteem family – the parents were continually hiding the fact that they had something to hide (for the nature of low self-esteem, is one feels perpetual shame, as one “survivor” said “There were two rules in our family, we have no problems, and we don’t talk about them) and so Susan also learnt
