Yes, No, Maybe So

This is truly amazing – if I may say so myself – once in a while God gives you insight, to clarify the complex, simplifying the confusing, which leaves you feeling elated (as the teaching, “there is no greater happiness than the elimination of confusion.”)

Yes no and maybe

This is really a lengthy Kabbalistic doctrine, but it sums up in Yes, no and maybe.

When in a state of security, we are in the yes stage.

We say yes to all our and anyones desires (this is in a way the liberal mindset.)

When in a stage of fear and anger, we are in the no stage; we prevent ourselves from doing anything we fear may cause us harm and our anger (usually stemming of jealousy of yes people – as obviously pleasure is found in the openness of the yes state) causes us to use people – in other words, I recall in my own life, going through these two stages – thank-God my yes stage was pretty long, as they say “if you’re not a liberal by the time you’re twenty you have no heart – a conservative by thirty, you have no brain” – so these two stages accurately describe me – in the yes stage, to the extent possible, I indulged myself and wished for others to do what they wanted to – but being bullied, hence fearing shame (for bullies primarily use false shame “you are evil because…” ) I became a no person – no to myself, but I noticed (once God opened my heart, so as many people can – though hitherto was impossible for me – I feel the emotions and sense what I am feeling) that whereas in the former yes stage, I had deep empathy for people, in the no stage (though I can’t say I was devoid of all compassion, but generally speaking) I stopped being a very giving person and my human interactions were primarily selfish (what I can attain.)

However both the yes and no state are imbecilic, for obviously the yes stage is like Churchill says: An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last! In other words, it easily converts into the fear no stage; for it isn’t really based on convictions, rather innate predilection to desire pleasure.

But to be a human, we must discern between good and evil; so fundamentally we must attain the state of security, for as long as we feel insecure, we are in the no stage.
