0 responses to “In the end of the day, I fear life is actually so amazingly simple that it is actually embarrassing: within man there are three major drives, there is the mind – which of-course makes us different to animals – the mind can be seen, not only in technological advancements humans made over animals, but far more importantly in societal advancements i.e. ethical norms – but to contrast the mind of man, is the heart / instincts / animal of man, whom just like an animal is attracted to pleasure and recoils from pain (which is why we have a difficult time dieting, exercising and get addicted to drugs etc.) but the real war within our own psyche, is not our animal, for it is relatively easy to see, it is absolutely idiotic to be a drug or sugar addict, but it is almost impossible to see, you are wrong, when you want to be right! for when the ego enters, the mind’s objectivity exits! which is why, as we all have an ego and the more (truly) right we are, the more the ego enters, hence the only way to live a truly objective-compassionate life, is to only – only – yes, only! adhere to a higher set of commands (for if the commands enter from a opposing source to the ego – which is any source, the fulfillment, in fact, is an act of humility)”
