As King Solomon the wisest of all men said “there is an unlimited number of books” – for books, the products of people’s fictitious minds, are of course as multiple as dreams themselves.

But there is, as the Rebbe says, only one truth.

To the best of my knowledge (so help me God!)

The one truth, is a combination of both Kabbalah (called the wisdom of truth) and Chassidus (from where Kabbalah ultimately stems from.)

The truth, must be born in the very genesis – the seminal reason for creation, as Einstein oft would say his entire study of science was to know God’s mind, for the rest are only the details.

The seminal reason for creation, is God’s unconditional attraction to you, hence his desire to bestow his love on you.

However the truth we experience, divorcing ourselves from the laws of physics, the countless laws of nature but focusing entirely on how does this world benefit us – how is it an expression of God’s love?

Is as follows:

God could easily have given us what he did for everyone else, from ameba to angel, they all share the same thing in common, their food comes easy.

We “by the sweat of your brow” and for that grand gift women have, to give new life, “in pain shall you give birth.”

What’s up with all this tedious painful stuff?!

To contrast this, look only at how God cursed the serpent “you shall eat the dust of the ground;” for an animal that’s quite the feast.

But that’s exactly the point, for an animal to not have to labor, is truly quite the feast (bearing in mind the serpent was a conscious being, it was quite the punishment) but for a human to earn without toil, to get a reward without having to painfully bear it, is not a gift, but a disgrace.
