0 responses to “Why is it that despite the fact computers can do mathematical calculations infinitely faster than we can and do many many simultaneously they don’t think – thinking is not a product of ability thinking is a product of desire/s – in order to think, you must have a reason to think – this is called a desire – the problem is, as we see with animals, their thoughts are not rational, they are instinctual reactions towards that which they love – which will bring them a pleasure – or fear will bring them a pain – we humans to have basically two choices, the first is to live like an animal, in other words, we never really need to think – we can live in a state of an awake-dream, so all of our thoughts are simply the brain trying to either attain what will be pleasurable or protect us from what will be painful (of course as we have an ego, simultaneously gain recognition, or in the case of the angered ego, try to lower others to feel less low) or we can actually stop our instinctual mechanism from running (and ruining, certainly wasting our lives) by asking ourselves a single all-encompassing question (not what do I desire) but what is the purpose of life?”
