Two separate universes exist within the same universe – a good example for this is humans and animals inhabit the same universe and yet we don’t – on one hand as they say, our closest animal “cousin” the chimpanzee, has a 98% dna similarity to us, heck, even to a worm we share 30% similar dna, yet it does seem, that 2% is the difference between rational thinking; for in actual fact, the chimpanzee and the worm are infinitely more similar than the smartest ape and the dumbest human – the reason is simple, for all animals are incapable of independent rational thinking, which is why as a specie they do not progress, for all of their actions are reactions to emotions – What is quite amazing is, as I saw on a show of this chimpanzee, that a professor would give it a peanut for getting out of a maze using a joystick; that in human terms he was a genius (i.e. could figure things out humans can’t, so ironically, what makes us different, is not memory nor even thinking capacity, it is the ability to think independent! of an emotional cause) so this is why thinking people stand on an entirely unique plane – a plane of existence which tries to discern “what is existence?” “why are we here?” a question which though is obvious, no animal ever thought about, for once again its thoughts are completely a reaction to its emotions – all this by way of introduction is to tell us, two different realities can coexist – in other words, the world we exist in can likewise contain a truth which is unknown to all mankind – o.k. no way to do this but to maybe sound arrogant but be that as it may – I was born into the Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Orthodox faith, hence to me truth was always succinctly put, Judaism and Chabad philosophy (which is Jewish mysticism, mainly as explained by the Tanya, namely, we have two souls in us, Divine and animalistic and we need to overcome our instinctual desire for Judaism) however after the Rebbe had a physical passing, I had a crises of faith and I went on a search for the truth, for I thought my path was wrong; I literally studied the notions of reform, conservative, Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Freud, the notions of religions and obviously simultaneously I was in and part of American cultural notions – the bottom line is, none of them ring true – by a great stroke of Divine luck, I was fortunate to read Choivois Halivovois “Gateway to Trust” so I rediscovered my ancient faith, but I made a critical judgment error, because instead of discerning, I simply accepted all the old premises – but as time, app. a decade plus, wore on, I came to realize that there is a fundamental difference between the viewpoint of Jewish mysticism and the perceived viewpoint of Judaism – and though one must begin in the framework of traditional Judaism, namely, obedience to God, there is a single but mind-blowing, almost unknown, completely radical altering difference between the two and it gets into the very nature of God – you see, we humans see God in what’s called an anthropomorphic view – a greater version of the greatest human – hence we limit God’s greatness to the greatest human capacity – we define his unlimitedness by the very structure of what we can conceive as being the height of limitedness (infinity defined within a finite paradigm) now of-course this is nonsense – because the very definition of something unlimited, is that it has no definition, so we, born into definitions can only extrapolate, that the creator of definitions is not defined – this is so hard for us to understand, for it is to imagine a reality that has absolutely nothing to do with our reality (as the simple analogy given in Chassidus, a billionaire relative to a pauper has some comparison even if a billion to one, but a billionaire relative to infinity – imagine the American printing press capable of printing billions of dollars indefinitely daily – has less, to the extent of no comparison whatsoever to infinite wealth) now the obvious question is, what difference does it make, if God is beyond us or is beyond being beyond us? – and the difference is simple, if God is just beyond us, so once we figure out God, then we “get him” and in a sense don’t need any more advice – in fact, this error causes religious people the worst crime possible, namely, self-smugness, believing that their religiosity is fulfilled, hence their being is complete! and the corollary, most often looking askance upon the irreligious in their minds – but if God is beyond being beyond us, unlimited versus limited, so whatever Judaism is, cannot be THE DEFINITION OF JUDAISM, only the beginning of the Divine pathway – a path which is infinite and this then leads to the Rebbe’s raison detr’e, we need to continuously add in goodness and kindness!
