The Rebbe taught – as we had occasion to mention, though not often enough relative to its significance – that obviously reality begins in the Creator of reality.

The question of course is, what is the reality that the Creator made?

If we are simply observers, as science is – even then we have come to the understanding that we don’t understand – but even if we ignore Heisenberg and believe only in Newton (a fixed paradigm) nonetheless it doesn’t get us any closer to understanding the purpose (it can at best explain what, not why!)

The purpose of life is simple – angels are called statues, for their great love and awe of God is how they are born, they neither move beyond nor below their stand.

However people are called “growing ones.”

We are always growing!

Ironically, even our dark periods are only for us to be able to receive a higher light!

So the whole truth is this: we can never become statues – that is not who we are – we need to take only a cursory look at human history and we will see God’s destiny.

Two cultures simultaneously developed.

The Jewish and the gentile.

The Jewish one begins with Abraham, but for his children to perceive what his, in his lofty soul could, they needed to experience the darkness of exile to come to higher paradigms of infinity.

The gentile culture didn’t begin in lofty spiritual ancestry.

In fact, chaos, barbarism even cannibalism was its beginning.

Hence, today the Jewish culture through the advent of Chassidus has reached the apex of merging the infinite one into us finite minds.

Whereas the gentile culture has at least – mainly in the western-world which are the leaders of the gentiles – come to understand, that chaos and barbarism (and going into Africa, cannibalism) is abhorrent.

But ultimately, and this is the most fundamental hardest point to get – we must never think, we have arrived at the apex; for the closest one gets to infinity – is leaving the darkness; but the light itself, like an artist that can paint infinite paintings, like a computer programmer that can make infinite realities, coming from the infinite one – will infinitely take each and every one of us along an infinite journey of always increasing more, and even more light!
