They say, the great logic of Aristotle boils down to the following equation, if a = b and b= c, then a = c; but here is the great logic of Zevi, if a=b, than b = a.

Practically, we are taught that Tzaddikim, the Divine saints such as the Lubavitcher Rebbe mirror their Creator, so if b=a and we have no perception of a., by understanding b., who we visually saw, experienced, we understand a.!

Many many many people make the most fundamental of errors when approaching the Rebbe, and that is the error of anthropomorphization, which generally means, we assume that God is similar to man, but likewise, we assume man is similar, to Tzaddikim.

A cursory look over the life of all our Tzaddikim shows that though a.(God)=b.(Tzaddikim) c.(man)does not equal b.

It is fair to say, that the Tzaddikim who as the Rebbe said about the previous Rebbes, were messengers of God to demonstrate how a Jew should live, were far more God than man!

And the whole point of this article is this:

As we anthropomorphize the Rebbe, hence we erroneously think that the Rebbe enjoyed prestige.

The truth is, anyone who knew the Rebbe, knew that the Rebbe hated honor – if that is the case, why did he accept being the Rebbe? – and as Rabbi Rabanowitz who knew the Rebbe from Paris (the Rebbe lived in Paris many years before the war said) as the Rebbe accepted to be the Rebbe “I now know the Rebbe has Mesirus Nefesh (complete self-abnegation) for God, for the Torah, and for the Jewish people (not wanting to make this article too long, hence keeping it brief, he explained why for the Jewish people) “As I know the Rebbe, he was a very very private person (who shunned all attention and limelight) yet he allowed himself to be cajoled to be the Rebbe for the sake of the Jewish people!”
