Chassidus teaches, ego ironically comes from low self-esteem, so like a scab that becomes the new skin to protect the raw flesh, similarly delusions of superiority enter; as well as from actual superiority. – it would seem obvious, that those who are covering up inferiority, are easier to heal than the latter!
