Effectively I asked him, “when did you lose your compassion?”

“That’s a loaded question!”

“I’ll tell you what I mean. ‘You see, I think we are all born compassionate but due to fear we switch from compassionate people to uncompassionate people.”

“Well here’s what I think” says he “if you look at children, they lack discernment, they’ll go sit on anyone’s lap, I think boundaries are good!”

Well thinking about it, the mans got a point, but of course, what’s the truth?

The truth is, that there is a third way between unconditional love and unconditional boundaries.

This is the way of God, the way of Jacob called Tifferes.

Effectively, it is called the discerning compassionate state, for love is unconditionally open, but rife for abuse, and fear, though perhaps setting up boundaries, nonetheless separates humanity, but discerning compassion is both a. Self-protective while most importantly is open to assisting those in need!
