The greatest drawback of science is this – imagine landing in a world exactly like ours, and as in the matrix, you see an entire civilization, but you can’t figure out why that civilization exists!

As we are born into our civilization, this question never crosses our mind, because we take it for granted that it does!

But if you had landed from outer space as a solitary observer, you would obviously begin as Abraham, with the fundamental question, not how things function, but who created what is functioning!

In other words, the question now becomes, not what is real, but why are we experiencing the world we are experiencing – and to answer that question we must go to the Creator who has revealed his intention in Kabbalah as explained in Chassidus that God’s nature is love, hence the greatest act of love he can give us is to unite with us – now we can extrapolate all the whys – why we exist, because he loves us! – why we don’t see him, so we can freely choose him!
