We are composites of three operating systems – each one can independently run us

Ideally, we use our mind to choose what we should or shouldn’t do

Usually our mind is not strong enough to control us; so like little children their desires for fun and not pain/or shame is what controls their behavior; which is exactly how animals act (though they have no shame, like under two year olds.)

But most concerning is something called our ego, our innate desire for fame, so when someone is offended (for example, this is the motive behind anti-semites, Arabs, radicals, all people who feel inferior to Jews and / or others, hence their sole desire) is to destroy the person whom their ego feels threatened by.

The question of course is, how to become happy?!

So we must realize, our mind is what downloads our thoughts into our heart, our heart than uploads its feelings into our mind!

So if I want to be happy, I need to download happiness! for example: we are living in the messianic age when after two thousand years of holocausts, pogroms etc. etc, God has given us Israel, freed jews from oppression from around the world, and soon the Rebbe, Moshiach, will return and make the world happy forever!

Now contrast that, with “I am angry because so and so offended me..”
