What is Judaism?

A connection to God.

What is life? a connection to human needs, desires, struggles etc.

Are these two consistent?

The answer of course is that it depends on how you define Judaism.

To a large extent until the time of the Baal Shem Tov the more mystical you were, the less connected to life were you.

The Baal Shem Tov and Chassidus changed that.

Now we define connected to God as connected to your fellow Jew.
