We begin life – hopefully – in the happy stage

Happy go lucky, the world is a great place!

We enter into the unfortunate state, whether through a bully trying to take away our happiness (antisemites for example) over jealousy of your happiness, or God forbid another loss that can shake our happiness and happy go lucky state to the unfortunate victim state.

But ultimately this is a process everyone shall go though, for in order to enter the third state, the state of decisioned goodness, it is not possible to enter it (unless very great Tzaddikim without going first through the unfortunate state.)

As Jung states, there is no birth of consciousness except through pain – to enter the conscious state where we are not happy go lucky, rather we are consciously reacting to every given situation with the perfect mix and choice of goodness appropriate for that situation, is of course to approach the highest level of Divinity any man can.
