Oh fly, why are you such a pest?!

Do you have no respect!!!

Buzzing in my ear, landing on my face!

But there is a lesson to be learnt from you!

You see, you fly, are controlled by love and fear.

Your loves, instinctually programmed for food and procreation govern your every move.

On the other hand, you fear annihilation.

So if I may harm you, you stay away from me, but then again, that doesn’t show respect, rather for your own safety you are distant.

If you could, you would eat me!

Us humans too can be flys.

We too can operate on a fear / love basis.

I don’t respect others, I fear them, hence I do not annoy them.

If I could, I would rape, pillage and plunder (as we see in Africa, Arabs, antisemites, and even the radical left and right.)

Of course, I choose to be a good person.

I choose to love others as I love myself.

I choose to identify with every living thing, feeling compassion for its soul.

I choose to see the good in others so I may respect them.
