Although one should never engage in Lashon Hara, as the Chofetz Chayim says, for the sake of the community Lashon Hara is suspended, hence I am writing this article, for Rabbi Boteach just went over every red line Judaism holds dear and wrote a book called Kosher Jesus in which he describes the saintliness of Jesus and does what he can to show that Jesus was a Rabbi preaching Judaism.

Now one must understand the error of wrong motives.

Why did Shmuly write this book, it is simple, as he pretty much says straight out, to curry favor with the evangelical Christians, his new pimps.

In other words, people have different motives in why they do things.

While I cannot judge him for never judge anyone until you walk a mile in their shoes, nonetheless I can judge his behavior and the motives and the lesson to be learned.

His behavior, as he himself told reporters is megalomania, seeking attention at all costs – a wounded child basically.

The lesson to be learned is that when someone mixes in impure motives into purity they end up with a book like Kosher Jesus.
