Why we need Moshiach

Why do we need Moshiach

If we all find G-d, if we all discover a deep unbinding love for his word, do we really need a human being to tell us what he wants?

Herein lies a fundamental question that although sometimes unasked, gets to a lot of people, of why we need a Rebbe – a Moses – in fact this is exactly what Korach in his rebellion against Moses claimed, “We are all holy,” in other words, we all love and worship G-d, why should you be a leader.

Mosses’s reply was that he wasn’t a leader rather he was a follower of God, and it was God who instructed him what to say and do.

And this is the point.

Only someone, one hundred percent in tune with what God actually tells him to say and do can lead.

Everyone else, no matter how noble their intentions – no matter how grandiose their ideal – no matter how good their minds; is still under the influence.

Can someone say – I am drunk but I can drive perfectlyif they do, they are lying, for their very sense of judgment is faulty.

The bottom line is that all humans, even the very very very best are drunk – we are intoxicated by our hearts that have direct subconscious access to our minds so it is literally impossible for a human, even the greatest as Korach was, to be able to predict with an unbiased opinion what God wants.

Only those leaders on the level of merkavah they are in touch – in tune and reacting to what G-d constantly tells them to think, say and do – like Abraham Isaac and Jacob, like Moses and the great Rebbes, are in a position to unequivocally share with us God’s wisdom for our lives.
