Planet Earth – Our Home

So everything teaches us something, the deadliest tornado ripped through my home state Joplin Missouri, with a death toll unseen in 62 years.

Of course our hearts go out to all those who have suffered and the people missing and we pray to God that there should only be complete joy in everyone’s life.

At the same time as I had occasion to mention, the Baal Shem Tov says that geo-political events – and certainly everything one sees and hears are lessons to be implemented in life.

The very foundations of our security have been shattered.

While we walk around in a state of taking everything for granted, we simply fail to appreciate that every second, of every moment, of every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every month, of every year, of every century etc. is a complete and total unnecessary gift from our loving Father in Heaven.

When we tend to see nature as a home environment – that will always give us our needs – we tend to forget who created that environment in the first place!

This is very much like a child who doesn’t appreciate the tremendous sacrifice his mother and father put into giving him what he needs for it is simply a reality to him.
