You are wise but not with a knowable wisdom You understand everything but not with a comprehendible understanding

So writes Eliyahu in the introduction to Kabbalah – an incredible summary of Kabbalistic wisdom

In other words, in man there are five primary forces which we use.

Intelligence

Emotions (love and fears)

Thoughts

Speech

And Action

For us to truly become Godly, to allow Divinity to flow through us – the primary purpose of man on earth, as our sages taught, “to make a dwelling place for God” and as the Rebbe explains this is primarily within man – we must suspend our emotions and intellect, for both can be one hundred percent faulty, for as we mentioned, two drives, one good one bad, are the compelling nature of man.

To do this, we employ simplicity – the grandeur of Chassidim – i.e. simple trust that God understands without a comprehendible understanding!

God is wise but not in a knowable wisdom!
