within all of us, as Kabbalah teaches are diametrically opposite desires: there is one side of us which desires world peace, it has compassion on all, and conversely there is another side of us that loves watching mafia movies, we revel in cruelty – now we may not be consciously aware as we deny it – but the very fact that sex and power is pleasurable (at least from the male perspective) is only because there is a part of us that enjoys it
