Why Work?

Religion contains a paradox, if you trust God, why do anything? for example, a child who trusts their parent will provide, has no motive to work, nor do much; however, God comes along and says, I want you to work, to have a family; this dilemma is why many spiritual people secluded themselves from the world; Jewish mysticism teaches, that God’s purpose in creation is for us to transform the world through thinking of positive intentions, e.g. I will work to give charity, I will eat to give love, I will marry to give love etc. These intentions are the greatest gift, for without them we are like children!
