Why things are the way they are

There is a great secret, of-course revealed by the Rebbe (who believed one must teach everything to one’s disciples.)
This is, the fact that our ego is so intertwined with our identities that there is no way – but one – to disassociate them.
Of course, the problem of ego is, even when we do succeed in something good, as the ego takes credit, it makes us slightly bad (for all evil come from an inflated sense of self, hence less tolerant to others etc.)
However when a Jew doesn’t follow his own kosher mind; even listening to the Rebbe – for as long as it becomes part of my belief, my ego is tied into it – rather, one either, like all the Rebbes, prophets, Tzaddikim, have direct communication with God, so their minds can’t take credit for their ideas, perhaps even thoughts (and considering that as Rabbi Yosef Kaoro said “I am the angel that speaks through me” and as we know Mosses was the Divine voice speaking through him etc. hence in this way they couldn’t even take credit for their speech) but for simple folk like us, the mechanism is, as the Rebbe taught – “appoint a mashpia.”
