The problem with relying on our wisdom, is our wisdom has a virus, we think we can discern; but our conscious mind is infected by our subconscious desire, that literally, as Freud speaks about a preconscious mind; so your desire says for sex, goes into your preconscious mind and eliminates, like an infinite soldier, all opposing opinions (as the strongest desire in man becomes the dominant desire, hence) the conscious mind will only see the desire, nothing but, which is why, so many hundreds of millions of people, do stupid things!
