Why man needs God, but God needs nobody.

Imagine a car that had two drivers, two steering wheels, two different destinations!

That is the picture of man!

We composites, of good and evil, have two divergent directions.

Why God needs no one.

The only being that is only good, completely selfless, loving etc. and has absolutely no evil, even not a whiff on any level is God.

This is why even the holy Tzaddikim who have lived for eternity will be reborn when Moshiach comes for the very nature of the body has a predilection to evil, despite however well intentioned and even if all the good intentions have been carried out.

As we know the famous story that the Baal Shem Tov was loving the simple folk and cherishing them and his chief disciple a great Tzaddik felt a bit bad that he was wasting time from the sublime Torah teachings and the Baal Shem Tov was able to show them by divine inspiration how lofty these people truly were.

So the Maggid couldn’t forgive himself for questioning his Rabbi (which is forbidden in Judaism – referring to the chief Rebbe of a generation whose every step is according to Gods’) until he learned that the reason Abraham saw Sarah when he came to Egypt was that the evil impure atmosphere there affected his body and brought him down from being in the lofty realms to earth and hence he saw Sarah for the first time.

In other words, there is a whiff of predilection towards evil, in the saintliest of men, which will be removed when Moshiach comes.

God containing no body hasn’t even that whiff.

So for man to raise himself out of his predilection, tendency and of course unfortunately failings, particularly in terms of ego hence anger, hence evil, man needs to completely submit oneself to God’s will which is whiffless.
