You see, the trouble with Judaism, why it is so counter-intuitive is simple.
Why would a big God care about little things?
But that is to limit the scope of God.
In fact, if God is infinite – so both big and small are the same – it is like saying, why would say a billionaire care about both my or a millionaire’s financial problem? – but because he is “equally” distant from both of us, the millionaire’s problems are no less valid to him than the small person! – so in point of fact, all we can say is God chose to unconditionally love, and as we see in love, nothing is too big or small.
