Why Einstein wanted to control nuclear weapons It is well know, that Einstein campaigned a good part of his life to control the proliferation of nuclear weapons, correctly surmising, that technology in the hands of a psychopath, is like giving an axe murdered an axe. But there are guns, bombs, why nuclear weapons? Well Einstein’s didn’t want to become remembered for what Alfred Nobel would have; Noble the inventor of TNT which caused the murder of millions of people in war time applications (which is why upon reading a obituary – which was wrong – that he died and was famous for this destructive reason he created the Nobel prizes) but here’s the thing; though it is obvious, he felt responsible for having let the secret, of how to build a nuclear weapon out of the bag, the lesson that I think we need to take, is we are not only responsible for our mess-ups which we feel guilty about, we are responsible for everyone!
