Why does America support indirectly terrorism

There is no doubt, that the U.S. has the tremendous chutzpah to be giving high quality American weaponry to terrorist supporting regimes, for example, does it make logical sense that we, the bastion of freedom and liberty should be proping up the governments that are not Only dictatorships, suppressing liberty in their countries, but the primary funders of anti-semetic, anti-american propaganda?! it’s no different to say Roosevelt giving Germany weapons!
