Why did God make you?

 

 

This is perhaps the most mysterious question that exists.

 

There are two main reasons our sages teach.

 

The first is, God desires to unite with us.

 

The second is, God seeks to have someone to give to, as the nature of those who love is to bestow their love.

 

But in truth, life must be felt to understand; for as the Alter Rebbe says, we cannot access these motives through our brain, rather perceiving the emotional reason for them.
