Why

Why did god create?

To unite with us!

If he did not create us in the perception that we have, namely that we exist independently – as we all feel we do (despite the truth that we are no different from a player in a video game that is only the harddrive not the self which literally is completely non-existent relative to the harddrive that is continuously making it appear, move, think, function etc.) then there would be no one to unite with.

If so why create needs?

Couldn’t we be like the animal world that every animal instinctively does its little thing.

The answer is that more than God wants us to unite with him

God wants us to unite with one another.

For as great as his love is for us, greater is his love for the ideal that people should be united.

If no one would need another, than no one would both desire nor give to the other.

In the final analysis we are a. privileged to host God within us during Torah study and performance of Mitzvahs and especially prayer that is heartfelt and b. even more privileged to fulfill his deepest desire by giving – fulfilling the needs of others.
