Because
Why did God make the world?
Because he wanted to.
When it comes to physical things one cannot ask why, for it is their instinct / nature to say be soft, hard, cold, hot but God is a spiritual living being and just like you can’t ask “why do you like chocolate cake?” because you just do, you cant ask “why did God the world make,” because he just wanted to.
What is his intent, as our sages explain, to have a permanent home in your heart, which judging by the billions of people embracing God willingly, joyfully, passionately and in a certain sense all encompassingly we have to say He is getting what He wants and this phenomena will only continue to explode to the point “when all people will serve me as one brotherhood.”
