Who we are

Who we are of course defines how we perceive ourselves
At the heart of many many issues, is having a bad self image!
So according to truth, Chassidus, this is who we are
We are in essence God, which is why we are kind, loving, compassionate – this is God in a body!
At the same time, obviously we don’t perceive ourselves to be God, rather ourselves, and the reason for this is, because God desires to give us the moral satisfaction of making a difference!
Hence, we have also been given selfish instincts, a lust for pleasure and fear of shame, and it is only through realizing, that in addition to our biological instincts, we also have a God. who has instructed us to be giving, kind, people, hence by overcoming our selfish instincts, or fear of shame, and doing what we are obligated to do as Citizens of God! we thereby not only express ourselves (namely, the God within us, our goodness and compassion, unconditional love etc.) but we also (perhaps more importantly) overcome the evil within us, and within the world to do so, creating it as our achievement!
