Who are we?

Laying at the heart of everything we do is this question?
Who are we?
The answer is both interesting, perplexing, complicated, surprising and most of all redeeming.
We are two people in one.
On one hand we identify with our bodies for our instincts such as need for food drink security love are the very first things we encountered upon making our grand entry to planet earth.
On the other hand that is certainly a perspective that though seared into our consciousness is patently, obviously, almost comically false.
An animal only knows the instincts it feels but a human has a mind and using our mind we know our instincts are basically biochemicals that create certain needs but are far from who we are.
The answer to who we are is the same answer as to what everything is, namely God Himself.
