One of the most important of all of the concepts in Kabbalah is as mentioned in Tanya that everything comes from one of three Dimensions.
The best dimension is the dimension of truth, which is God, which is kindness.
The next dimension is the dimension of people and all non-aggressive animals, plants and matter; for this dimension believe it or not is actually primarily Kelipa / darkness concealing the Divine, the truth, and kindness – some souls such as Jewish souls have an extra dimension of kindness as we see in the charity that they give, nonetheless, our primary desire is actually self-serving and hence we are in truth darkness.
And then there are the forces of true evil, namely anger, revenge, arrogance, which all come from ego.
It is our goal to transform everything into the highest dimension.
