When we are young, we live ( hopefully) in La-La Land – when we get older – have experienced sadism purely for the sake of sadism- when we believe no one cares – we become cynical, realistic; however the ultimate benefit is that a. we actually seek idealism yet b. we are also practical – the goal then is to realize that "it’s not someone else’s responsibility, but mine"
