When God created our world, he actually, as our sagas teach, that the etymology in Hebrew of Olam/world means concealment

God created a concealed reality!
In other words, to paraphrase Einstein “reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one” – our reality is an illusion – there is nothing about it, from the physical matter, to even our own selves that is real!
It is no different to living in a video game, but thinking (as in the matrix) that the game is real!
Why did God do this?!
As our sages teach, God desires to unite with us!
So firstly, there had to be an us, beings who see themselves as independent with freedom of choice (it would hardly be a love-affair if you were forced into a marriage!)
