On one hand we have God who provides us with the most incredible good fortune

 

We are alive

 

We had love

 

We have love

 

We love (love in fact is what makes people happy)

 

If one is fortunate they have a loving partner

 

If one is fortunate they have loving children

 

We live in the most prosperous time of human history, by infinitely better proportions, be it in health, prosperity, freedom etc.

 

We have the greatest revelation of God’s wisdom called Chassidus to inspire us

 

On the other hand we are plagued by a Yetzer Hara, a demon skilled in the art of repression, depression and anger
