What will the world be like when Moshiach comes

By zevi770 · February 5, 2014

This is a fascinating subject.

There are many views, but it seems to me, the following is the bottom line

We have already discussed what it’s going to look like when Moshiach comes.

But now we are going to discuss what the world will look like, after he comes!

So all the Jews are happily resettled in Israel.

The third holy temple has descended from the sky.

All the great prophets and sages are there, ready, willing and teaching!

A few cataclysmic shifts have occurred.

First the obvious, as the prophet says, and mentioned by the Rambam, the nations of the world, particularly Christians and Muslim will realize, that they received a lie.

They will happily come to the God of Israel, and eagerly desire to drink from his waters.

Though I am not certain, but I think (not sure, but it seems to me this will happen) Jews will be seen, as possessors of the truth.

If we consider, there are 15,000,000 Jews alive and 7,000,000,000 gentiles, that means, there will be approximately 466 gentiles coming to each Jew and begging them to share the inspirational wisdom of Judaism.

We do know, that Jews will sit and continually advance in their Jewish knowledge, and gentiles will (perhaps recognizing the merit it brings to them) happily support this Torah study.

Secrets of Judaism, which make all of what was revealed hitherto, seem as dust will be revealed.

We know as well, that Judaism itself shall somewhat alter; for once the new Sanhedrin supreme-court is established – consisting of the best and brightest of all the previous Sanhedrins etc. they will see the wisdom of Shammai over Hillel, and many laws, for example lighting 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 candles on Chanukah, shall change.

This, though, is only the first stage of Moshiach, which will be 40 years.

Essentially, it can be accurately summed up by the Rambams teaching, “there will be no wars nor jealousy, for the material wealth will be in abundance, and the world will seek only to better understand God/liness.”

Then comes (I think the reward) the era of the resurrection of the dead, all Jews (those that merit it and those that will get special passes from those who have extra brownie points to let them in) and all good gentiles of the past will rise!

A new world order will come in!

Miracles will become the norm!

Food will grow from the ground, clothing on trees, and a host of many many other miracles!

As the Rambam states, upon this time “No eye (meaning, even prophetic, I believe) has seen it.”
