What – Why

The Torah / Judaism is what: how God made the world, chose a nation to teach them what he wants; but it is not WHY he wants – Chassidus, Jewish mysticism is WHY God made the world and WHY he told them what he wants them to do – for ultimately God is love and as our sages teach, the nature of love is to give, and every Mitzvah, good deed we do, earns us an infinite reward, which primarily will be given to us in the messianic age – infinite wisdom!
