What we can learn from the closing of Newsweek, a magazine of 80 years, based on an article I read – basically, the point is this; before there were media outlets, there were Rabbis, preachers, who told what was happening, to the people; which then the media coming from a purely profit making motive i.e. selling copies, hence sensationalized stories, became the zeitgeist; the flavor of the information fed to people; which had an awesome and insidious effect of corrupting our souls, our minds; but by now, it is practically all but impaled itself against its own revolution; for in the end of the day, as they say, you can fool some of the people some of the time but never all of the people all of the time! ironically, it is back to the rabbis, preachers, spiritualists, as people have come to realize that the media was a sensationalism farce, based on half-truths, if lucky, and where there is truth, is, where the Rabbi always said, in you, in God, and in the Torah connecting the two!
