What was so profound about the primary approach to Judaism? namely, “first we adhere, then we understand,” seemingly, the opposite makes more sense! – In fact, it was this insane notion of obeying beyond logic that riled the logical Greeks so much and yet historically it was the Jews who were moral, Greeks immoral; which is the explanation. For morality, if it is based on human understanding is subject to human predilection, for the notion that the mind is an independent operator divorced from the desires of the heart is wrong – Germans were the most advanced in science and humanities (how people should treat one another based on human not Divine ethics) yet they easily switched their mind – nonetheless, it is a mistake not to search for the logic of God’s mind, for ultimately, it is the complement to the obedience.
